SEO and GEO on Overfuel
Overfuel is a newer dealer site builder that leads with page speed, Core Web Vitals, and clean technical SEO. When the foundation is already fast, the work shifts to content, local depth, and getting named by AI engines. That is where we spend the time.
What Overfuel lets you change, and where the vendor still owns the page
Overfuel gives dealers more room than most OEM-certified platforms. It is still a hosted product, so the template, the feed, and the core markup remain the vendor's. Here is how we split it.
Performance
The platform's main claim is speed, and in our audits the base site usually passes Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop. The risk is what dealers add on top: chat, retargeting, and trade tools. We keep the tag stack lean so the advantage holds.
Template and SRP and VDP layouts
Layouts are vendor-managed with configurable modules and theming. You choose what appears and where within the system. Deeper structural changes go to the vendor, who in our experience ships them faster than legacy platforms.
Content and landing pages
A flexible builder for model pages, local pages, service pages, and long-form guides. This is where most of our work lands, and it is fully in your control.
Schema and metadata
Titles and descriptions are editable. Vehicle, dealer, and organization markup is generated by the platform, and additional markup can be requested. We spec what is missing and verify the output.
Inventory feed
VDPs render from your DMS or inventory management feed. Photos, comments, and trim quality still come from your process, not the site. We set standards on the source side.
What we usually find on Overfuel sites
Typical output from the first 30 days. Scores are composite site-health figures, not a guarantee for your store. Note how many technical items already pass.
Base pages pass on mobile and desktop. Third-party tags are the only drag.
From a fast site to a cited site
Overfuel handles the speed layer. We add the depth layer and feed the measurement layer.
Because the technical base is usually clean, the roadmap on Overfuel is shorter on fixes and longer on pages. That is a good problem.
How an Overfuel engagement runs
Confirm the base, then build the content and local depth the platform leaves to you.
Audit and confirm the base
Full crawl, Core Web Vitals check with your live tag stack, schema validation, and a gap analysis against the marketplaces and dealers ranking in each market you sell into.
Content and local roadmap
A page plan by market, model, and service job, prioritized by search demand and inventory you actually stock. Any schema or template requests go to the vendor as one spec.
Build pages
City and county pages, model and comparison pages, service pages, and answer-style FAQs shipped in the builder and linked to live inventory. Dealer facts placed for AI engines.
Measure and expand
Rankings by market, organic VDP sessions, leads, and mentions in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews tracked in the dashboard. New pages added as inventory and markets change.
