SEO and GEO on DealerSpike

DealerSpike builds sites for powersports, RV, marine, trailer, and equipment dealers, with unit pages fed from inventory, OEM brand pages, and syndication to the Trader marketplaces. We work inside that template to win brand plus location searches, unit-level queries, and the AI answer for who to buy from.

What you control

What DealerSpike lets you change, and what it does not

DealerSpike is a hosted template platform with a dealer CMS. The unit pages and brand pages do the heavy lifting, and both have a vendor-controlled layer under a dealer-editable one.

Template and navigation

Site layout, header, unit search, and the unit page structure come from the vendor's template. You pick from approved layouts and modules. Structural changes go through the vendor, and we write those requests with evidence.

Unit inventory feed

Unit pages render from your DMS or inventory tool: year, make, model, condition, price, photos, and description. Thin unit pages are almost always thin inventory records. We set photo and description standards at the source.

OEM brand and model pages

The platform supplies brand and model pages with manufacturer content. Every dealer of that brand gets similar copy. Adding local inventory, dealer specifics, and FAQs to these pages is allowed and is where most of the ranking gain comes from.

Content and landing pages

The CMS supports custom pages, service and parts pages, blog posts, and event pages with editable copy, headings, images, and links. Everything we write ships here.

Metadata and schema

Titles and descriptions are editable per page. Product and dealer markup is generated by the platform. Extensions and head-level fixes are vendor tickets, which we spec once and verify after release.

Syndication and marketplaces

Inventory feeds out to RV Trader, Cycle Trader, Boat Trader, and OEM locators. Your site competes with those listings for the same unit. We make the on-site unit page the better answer: more photos, real descriptions, local context.

Most units carry the OEM stock description or nothing at all. The page is a duplicate of the Trader listing and every other dealer's page.

How we work inside the platform

The DealerSpike stack, from unit record to AI citation

Each layer has an owner. On a DealerSpike site the biggest gains usually come from the two middle layers: brand pages and unit records.

FAQ

DealerSpike questions, answered

Because the marketplace listing and your unit page compete for the same search, and the marketplace usually wins on a duplicate description. When your page has more photos, a real description, local context, and a clear next step, it earns the click and the AI citation. The lead lands with you instead of in a marketplace inbox.
Yes, by adding what only you have: live inventory for that brand, your city and service area, your service capabilities, and FAQs buyers in your market ask. The OEM copy stays for compliance. The local layer is what ranks.
It does. DealerSpike serves trailer and equipment dealers on the same template. The queries are spec-driven, so we build pages by trailer type, GVWR class, and application, and set unit standards so every listing carries the specs buyers filter by.
No. We need CMS access, read access to Search Console and GA4, and a vendor contact for tickets. Unit data standards are handled with your inventory manager inside the tool they already use.
They can for local queries when the site has specific, crawlable facts: the brands you carry, units in stock, service capabilities, hours, and answered FAQs. We track mentions per engine and report them. Placement is not guaranteed.
Ideally two quarters before peak. Technical and metadata work lands in weeks, but brand and seasonal content needs a few months to rank. Starting mid-season still helps, mostly for the following season.
